    GMB Announces Promotions

    James H. Willey, Jr., P.E., President / Managing Member of George, Miles & Buhr, LLC (GMB), is pleased to announce the following promotions within the firm.

    Promotions to Sr. Vice President

    A. Reggie Mariner, P.E., firm owner since 2006, James C. Hoageson, P.E. and Stephen L. Marsh, P.E., LEED AP, CPSWQ, owners since 2007, were promoted to Sr. Vice Presidents and accepted seats on the Board of Members.

    Mr. Mariner joined GMB in 1992, and leads the Structural / Marine Engineering Group in the Salisbury office. Among many other projects, his work includes the design of rocket launch pads at NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility – in support of the recent LADEE rocket launch.

    Mr. Hoageson joined the firm in 1994, and serves as the Group Leader of the Salisbury Water / Wastewater Group.  He is currently spearheading a project for the Town of Laurel extending water & sewer service to the Route 13 corridor.

    Mr. Marsh also joined GMB in 1994 and leads the firm’s Site / Sustainable Design Group.  Marsh specializes in Low Impact Development, and recently became a Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality (CPSWQ).

    Promotions to Vice President

    David A. Vanderbeek, P.E., Roland E. Holland, P.E., and Jason M. Lytle, P.E. were promoted to Vice President, and are welcomed as new owners.

    Mr. Vanderbeek serves as the Civil / Municipal Group Leader in the Baltimore office, after joining the firm in 2004.  His expertise includes the planning, design and construction management of water and wastewater treatment, pumping, storage, and utility systems.

    Mr. Holland joined GMB in 2001, and is a Project Manager in the Structural Engineering Group, with capabilities in design using post-tension concrete, steel, wood and masonry.  His recent work has ranged from coastal resort condominiums to aerospace support for NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility.

    Mr. Lytle has been with GMB since 1998, and is a Project Manager in the Baltimore  Water / Wastewater Group.  His work includes design of wastewater treatment facilities, including enhanced nutrient removal and assistance to meet nutrient load limitations.

    New Associates

    Morgan H. Helfrich, AIA, LEED AP and Vince A. Luciani, P.E. have been promoted to Associates with the firm, after joining GMB in 2006.

    Ms. Helfrich is a Project Manager in the Architectural Group based in Salisbury. She is experienced in residential, governmental, educational, healthcare, and recreational facilities.  She served as Architect of the newly-opened Lower Shore Clinic, which provides care to the mentally ill in the Salisbury vicinity.

    Mr. Luciani serves as Leader of the Construction Services Group.  In addition to managing GMB’s staff of construction inspectors working throughout Delmarva, he oversaw the construction of the Atlantic Community Health Center, which recently opened in Oak Hall, VA, and the Bay Avenue Revitalization project in Lewes, DE.

    GMB would like to congratulate these employees and thank them for their hard work and dedication to the firm.
