2026 Scholarship Winners

GMB is pleased to announce the winners of our annual scholarship program.

The George K. Miles Civil Engineering Memorial Scholarship is awarded each year to students who plan to attend college to pursue a degree in civil engineering.  Mr. Miles is a former partner at GMB and was involved in a variety of civil engineering projects throughout the Delmarva Peninsula.  His brother, William Miles, was a founding member of GMB in 1960.

The 2026 recipients of the George K. Miles Memorial Scholarship are:

• Anna Kachik: Anna graduated from Westminster High School and is attending University of Maryland, College Park where she will major in civil engineering.
• Jacob Carpenter (not pictured): Jacob graduated from North Caroline High School in Ridgely, MD and is attending University of Michigan where he will major in civil engineering.

Congratulations to Anna and Jacob for their hard work. We wish them well in their future endeavors.
